Excellent welder for the price August 22, 2010 S M It works great and isn't flimsy like the other inexpensive welders. I've used this quite a bit and have had no issues. It gets the job done.

I'm not much of a welder but i was able to get up and running quickly to complete my project.
I would of given 5 stars but with my limited experience I can't say if its truely a great welder.
Excellant user forum on hobart website.

I bought this machine about 2mos ago, I previously had a harbor freight 150 which was 220volt. I did not like that machine the wire would never feed right and it looked cheap and was built cheap. I had never welded before that machine, and I still dont really know how. when i got the HOBART it was ready to go in about 2 min. and I was out building a stand with wheels and just about eveything else i could put on it. A lot of my welds still look pretty bad but I learned a little on each one, this welder is like driving a cadilac lots of power and only needs 110 to run it. I am glad i spent the extra money and got this one. It looks good, the wire feeds great, and the temp. is very easy to adjust, when you open the hood there is a diagram of material thickness and it tells you what adjustment to make. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYBODY. I used next day shipping from AMAZON and it arrived on time and I think I recieved a good price on it compared to all the other sites I checked.

I have gotten good use out of this product and am very happy with its perfomance. I was a little dissapointed when it arrived and the maintenance door hinge was broken, but I made it work. I can just picture the UPS guys dropping it off of the shelf in his brown truck.
