A robust 6.5-amp motor, 1/2-inch spindle gear, and 360-degree swivel head combine with comfortable ergonomics for optimum performance, even on all-day jobs.Dust-Free Cutting for a Healthy, Worksite Productivity doesn't just mean getting the job done fast, it also means keeping your workplace safe. Great tool for Hardi siding August 31, 2010 Vao Matua (Oregon, USA) These shears work very well. I don't understand the 'contractor' that didn't like them, maybe he didn't know that it is an electric tool and needs to be plugged in.
Cut the board upside down, hold the tool on the line, run at slow speed, and enjoy the results.

These Shears are AWESOME!! Well worth the money even for a one time siding project. As previously stated "cuts like butter".
Very poor tool July 7, 2010 Luc Laval (Oregon) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I you don't mind very rough cuts, this is the tool for you; quick and quiet. If however, you or your customers (I'm a contractor) demand tight cuts and nice looking siding, stay away from this tool. VERY rough, nasty cuts.
doing a Hardy-Plank siding job? May 16, 2010 Samuel T. Nielsen (IA) If you are going to any type of concrete siding, it is imperative that you buy this tool! You won't be disappointed when your face is free of dust and stinging flying particles off the blade of your circular saw. You can spend $75 on a hardie-plank blade and hate life; or you can spend a little more and be comfortably flying through your siding job.
works like a champ March 4, 2010 Jack Hamilton (Oklahoma) Bought this to cut hardibacker for a couple of shower installations. Cuts great with MUCH less mess. This is a must have in my tool shed.
