Product Description The Wagner Paint Crew is an airless piston pump sprayer with the performance of a contractor sprayer yet designed for the homeowner. The paint crew uses standard reversible spray tips and comes complete with hose, tip and metal spray gun.
Amazon.com Product Description The Wagner Spray Tech Paint Crew paint sprayer is specifically designed to spray most architectural coatings including thick (un-thinned) exterior latex paints. The Paint Crew offers the same quality spray pattern as high-priced contractor units, but it's easier to use and more affordable, making it an ideal tool for the do-it-yourselfer. Whether you're painting just the fence or your entire home, the Paint Crew is simple to operate and easy-to-clean for years of trouble-free operation. Wagner's innovative 413 reversible spray tip provides a superior finish and lets you clear clogs fast with a twist of the wrist. A 3/8-horsepower piston pump cranks out 2,750 PSI for tackling multi-story painting projects quickly. A convenient carrying handle and lightweight design ensure easy transport. Best of all, with simplified set-up and clean up, the Paint Crew makes even smaller projects fast and easy. Plus, a 2-gallon hopper offers longer spray time (and less downtime) on those extended applications. Note: This is a factory reconditioned tool and may contain cosmetic blemishes.

Wagner Spray Tech Crew Sprayer July 9, 2010 Lynn E. Rogers (Paso Robles, CA) Read all the reviews before purchasing this reconditioned sprayer. Figured for the price I could not be too far in the hole if it did not work out. It arrived earlier than projected. Could not see any signs of use. Read the instructions carefully just as some reviewers urged. Took time for proper prep, et. al. including dispatching the rattlesnake that crawled out of a hole while I was power washing. The sprayer worked far better than I expected and made very quick work of the job. Cleaning took about 1/2 hour, much of that redundant and probably unnecessary but I wanted to be very sure it was done right. Proper pickeling is important and instructions for this can be found on many websites. It is very simple and does not need expensive over-the-counter products. Just oil and paint thinner. So far, so good and I have much more work to go so hopefully it will continue to work. BTW, I purchased a swivel and tip extension that really made a big difference.
Ideal for big jobs July 7, 2010 Hannibal (Springfield, VA USA) We have a townhouse that we rent out. Our tenants were moving out and we had only a few days before new ones were to move in, and the previous tenants had left the house in sufficiently bad shape that pretty much the entire thing had to be repainted from top to bottom. Obviously this was no small task, and with only a weekend in which to work, we decided upon getting a sprayer to help out. A rental from your local big box hardware store costs about as much as getting one of these Wagners, so we just ended up buying one.
It was easily some of the best money I've spent in some time. Over approximately 10-12 hours we were able to repaint the interior of an entire townhouse. That included painting, taping and tarping. Honestly, probably about 70-80% of the time was spent in taping and making sure all the areas were well tarped (a necessity due to the sheer power provided by the sprayer). The paint went down very quickly and easily, and there's no way we could have done with rollers what we did with the sprayer.
I would probably give it 4.5 stars instead of a full five, but Amazon doesn't let you do that. Why not a full five? First of all, yeah it's definitely a hassle to clean. It took about an hour or so to clean this bad boy off, and I still have to do a little bit more with the gun and nozzle to make sure all the paint is gone. Second, overspray is a problem. However, by the end of the paint job, I had gotten proficient enough at handling and maneuvering the sprayer to be able to do the edges a lot better. Just make sure you keep a wet cloth handy to wipe off overspray. Finally, there's no easy way to do the maintenance. If this thing is going to last for you you're going to want to follow all of the instructions in the manual as closely as possible. And the manual really isn't that fantastic.
Some things you will definitely want and/or need as you're painting: mask (when I had my mask off, my lungs burned), eye protection (same deal, no eye protection caused stinging in my eyes), head covering (the little particles get EVERYWHERE, we just bought some bandanas), swivel for the gun (didn't have one but I wish we did, would've made things A LOT easier), and all kinds of tarp and tape.
Bottom line, this sprayer was great, doubly so for the money. It saved us a ridiculous amount of time and effort in painting allowing us to paint an entire house in less than two days (and most of that was spent taping!).
best $100 spent July 6, 2010 Greg Brosius (LITTLETON, CO, US) After reading several reviews and needing to paint my house, I took a chance on this as I haven't had much luck with "reconditioned" equipment. The sprayer arrived in a new box and with new hose and instructions along with other parts on it that looked like replacements. This piece worked far better than expected with absolutely no trouble. Had my 2500 sq. ft. home and shed exterior painted with 2 coats in 6 hours. Easy to follow instructions. Easy to carry/well balanced even when full of paint. Accurate spray line. As noted in other reviews I bought a straight swivel connector and can't imagine using the sprayer w/out it. As with any painting equipment, cleanup is somewhat tedious but not as bad as I expected considering some reviews. Best $100 I've spent in a long time.
Excellent product for less bucks July 1, 2010 Gary Pacheco (Boulder, Co. United States) Sprayer worked great, saved me a lot of time and money, and is easily portable. The hose is pretty stiff, and gun doesn't swivel around the hose which makes it less malleable and slightly harder to get the job done. But other than that, this is a great product overall. If you're looking for something more commercial and think that the gun would be an issue, then this product is probably not for you.
A tip for big jobs June 9, 2010 P. Stewart I have a professional sprayer that I loved, stupid me loaned it and they didn't return it forever and when I got it back they hadn't cleaned it. Thinking about buying one of these. My tip is get a kids play wagon (red wagon) and put your sprayer in it, it gets a lot of over-spray on it but you don't have to pick up the machine and move it everytime your hose runs short! With my pro one I put the 5 gal bucket in there too. Made it so much less work and faster to get the house done. We use to have rent houses so we painted a lot! By we I mean me, hubby doesn't do handy woman work :)
