The Turbo III is the strong, silent type, emitting only a low, steady hum as it clears debris from the work site. But don't let its quiet demeanor fool you. The Turbo III is a real workhorse around the shop. As a wet-dry vac, it provides airflow of 125 cfm and static water lift of 105 inches, with a 12-gallon wet and 14.5-gallon dry capacity. But it really earns its keep when you flip the switch to auto, attach your favorite power tool, and let it go. In auto mode, the Turbo III will start as soon as you activate the tool you have plugged into it; no need to turn the vacuum on first or turn it off when you're done. I purchased this vacuum because it had a large diameter hose and was supposed to be quiet. Plus it could be used with a HEPA filter. I have used this machine for almost a year and it is wonderful. Lots of suction and it is quiet (I don't need to wear hearing protection like I do with my sears vacuum). I use an Oneida deputy cyclone to capture most of the debris before it makes it to the vacuum - this way the expensive paper bag filter and the HEPA filter last forever.

By that, I mean that it has great suction. My shop has never been cleaner. I installed a sawdust collector between it and my power tools. It works great. The auto-on/auto shut off feature makes it even easier.

Read a lot about these vacuums being used as vacuum hold down on CNC routers, and it exceeded my expectations. Very powerful vacuum & quiet!! Works great as a shop vacuum and dust collector as well.
