Trim Carpenter Test!!! March 10, 2004 Adam D'Ambra (Middletown, PA) 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
I bought this gun due to pressure from my employer. The company that I work for has been using this gun for the past two years. I was using a Porter Cable be for the Hitachi and struggled with the weight and shot effect of the Porter Cable. When shooting MDF trim the Porter Cable tore up the finish because the driver is much larger then the head of the nail. The Hitachi has a driver that is of equal size to the nail so the trim looks of very high quality after it is installed. The Hitachi also has a tapered nose that allows the user to place the nail exactly where he or she wants it. The new design on the trigger, witch allows the operator to change the trigger type in less then a second!! No lie. Even with the safety trigger on it still allows the user to shoot one nail weather the nose is pressed first or the trigger, this one feature is what I like the most. I would recommend this gun to any professional who uses the gun every day, the average person might find the Hitachi kind of pricey.
