Product Description Big power in a compact drill, the Milwaukee 1663-20 is easy to use with its extra long handles. This drill is made for two handed operation which is nice for large hole drilling or material mixing; this drill has the power to handle it. This variable speed drill offers 115 to 450 rpm, perfect for dialing in correct speeds in various materials. It also features electronics that enable the tool to maintain speed settings even under changing loads. A Quik-Lok cord is standard. Hi-torque and versatility makes this our premium offering.

BigAss Drill Motor February 8, 2008 T. Smith (BFE) It's a hoss. Never wimps out. Only thing I don't like is the speed selector switch...monocolored black can't see settings, no clicks to help feel setting, in the wrong place for comfort, and you're not supposed to adjust on the fly. RPM governor-sensor stuff doesn't work either but I didn't figger it would. Still very happy with it.
Built like a tank!!!! July 12, 2005 tool collector (west lawn Pa) I love the soft start feature that this drill has. It helps manage initial start up torque. THis drill mixes heavy consistency materials quite well. Speed dial is great, you can dial speed back to as low as 115rpm. This is a nice feature for mixing stains and paints. Drill is well balanced and handles well for a drill this size. Drill is extremely well made.!!!UPDATE:10/15/06 Been using 1663-20 compact drill to plant bulbs, flowers etc w/ power augers I bought at Forestry supply. I use a 2" and a 5" depending on bulb or plant size. They have 1/2" hex shanks and are made extremely well. My 1663-20 has bent lesser earth(ground) augers. Drill is Heavy Duty enough for this application as long as you atre careful of rocks which could bind auger. I use speed 2 on the speed dial.
This is a super tool! January 26, 2001 Bob Bee (NY) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
If you want power, you can't do any better than this. This has a variable speed dial and is literally twice as powerful as a Milwaukee magnum hole shooter. I got one of these used at a pawn shop and I really like it.
