The new Platinum Series Tilting Head mortiser is the latest in our series of hollow chisel mortisers. With the tilting head and tilting table, users are able to make compound angled mortises precisely and easily. The 1.5 HP TFEC motor easily powers through hardwoods while the rack and pinion plunge mechanism moves the hollow chisel easily and accurately. Cast iron trunions for the table tilt and head tilt have positive stops at 90 degrees to easily return to a baseline setup. Dovetail ways on 3 axes provide the precision needed for any type of joinery project. Rack and pinion movements for each of the tilt movements make it easy to adjust to the perfect angle. Dual hold down clamps hold the material down on the table while a cam-action clamp holds stock against the fence. This machine is sure to expand the range and quality of your projects.
