For woodworkers, a sanding and buffing machine is useful for sanding irregularly shaped pieces such as toys and wooden parts. Just got the buffer today, easy to assemble. Runs "OH SO SMOOTH". I think the 1725 RPM is perfect all around speed, don't forget, you will be spinning 10" wheels. Plus the sanding drums are only rated for 1800 RPM. A great machine, I don't think its too heavy as one suggests (74 lbs for the buffer and 50 lbs for the stand, total 124 pounds), it has to be or you'd be chasing it around the shop. I would suggest adding more weight to the base if necessary or bolt it to the floor for safety reasons. As for the accessory flap sander and the sanding drum, they are available, you just have to scan the internet (etoolclub.com). I'm happy with my purchase and AMAZONS selections and service, and pricing....in fact I hardly know SEARS exists any more!!!

Flap disk or drum sanders for it. Shows on box that Jet
make both...I have looked and looked???
Other than that runs great, and strong

The first stand was damaged and motor is and was not right.
A second stand was sent it to was damaged.
A second motor was sent, it doesn't work at all.
Amazon told me to deal with the company, they said after a week that they will take care of the problem I am still waiting to see what is going to happen. Your company needs to deal with your shippers, both UPS and FEDEX were used and all of the damage seems to be a shipping issue.
I will be very carefull on what I order in the future. I have very little confidence in these shipping companies to deliver anything undamaged.
