Product Description 1-1/8" SDS Rotary Hammer, 0-980 RPM, 0-4200 BPM, Chipping Mode, D-Style Handle That Maximizes Drilling Pressure, Electronic Variable Speed Trigger Control, Slip Clutch, Includes Carrying Case.
Amazon.com Product Description The Milwaukee 1-1/8-Inch SDS Drive L-shaped Rotary Hammer is a 3-mode rotary hammer great for mid-size hole drilling (up to 1-1/8-inch diameter) in concrete. The hammer sports a D-style rear handle that offers a secure and comfortable grip and an easily accessible two-finger speed control trigger switch. Speed control allows smooth controlled starts and less bit walk for accurate hole positioning. The hammer accepts SDS style bits up to 1-1/8-inch diameter, and can drill up to 3-1/2-inch holes in concrete using thin-wall core bits. An included hammer-only mode allows the tool to be used for light chipping work, and the on-board slip clutch protects the mechanism from overload by stopping rotary action when a bit jams. This 7.4 Amp tool can be set to a rotation-only mode for drilling in steel or wood, and a 3-jaw chuck adapter kit is also available (sold separately). This rotary hammer is backed by a 5-year limited warranty. What's in the Box 1-1/8-inch SDS Drive L-Shaped Rotary Hammer, depth gauge, side handle, carrying case, and product manual.

What an awesome investment!!! October 17, 2003 Frank (Milwaukee, WI) 26 out of 26 found this review helpful
I am a handyman/ and I do alot of remodeling. I was doing alot of jobs that called for a hammer drill. I finally broke down and purchased one on a clearence sale. The Milwaukee SDS Rotary hammer drill. I believe that the manufacturor has underated this tool. It has three modes; drill, hammer drill and chisel. The chisel mode has multiple positions when you use the mode selector switch. The manufactor states that when your in chisel mode it will handle light chiseling. I beg to differ. I was remodeling an old bathroom that had 3 inch poured floors with set in porcelin tile. I watched as my partner with all his might and a hammer sweated through a short session of demo. I told him when he got tired to let me know. I got out the hammer drill and selected chisel mode. It took only minutes to demo the floor. The hammer drill punched through the floor like a hot knife through butter. We starred at the broken up floor with amazment. I had no sore muscles or banged up hands. I have used it for other jobs involving hardened bloch that I could barely chip with a small sledge hammer and the hammer drill tore through it without hesitation. The drill mode has alot of torque for those heavy drilling applications like landscape beams. There is a convertor chuck that allows you to use normal shank bits. Do not use cheap mason bits this drill will eat them up. The drill is capable of drilling a 4 inch diameter core hole in concrete. Now for the small complaint I have is; I am left handed and when I use the accessary handle it doesn't allow me to tighten it down without hitting the locking nut. (Really not worth complaining about. This is as valuable as a sawzall is to a remodelor.
