The power and quality you would come to expect from a Porter Cable Product. PSA discs are substantially less expensive by volume than the Velco paper that you would find at the big box retailers. This sander will pay for itself quickly in just the money I will save by not having to pay 4X as much for Hook & Loop paper. No wonder this tools isnt sold at the other guys! I highly reccommend it if you are doing BIG projects and using lots of paper. BTW....Amazon shipped lightning fast. Thanks.

I bought this sander (Porter Cable 344 5" random orbital sander with PSA pad) and then discovered that it is nearly impossible to find 5" 8 hole adhesive disks. Ace Hardware is the only place I have found them and they are about a buck a piece. Go with the hook and loop sander.
Having said that, the sander works great and the hook and loop version of this same sander would be even better.
